Hard chromium plating differs from decorative chromium plating primarily in plating of thick deposits for engineering or industrial applications. Proper surface preparation is emphasized. Success depends largely on controlling rate of
deposition on different surfaces in order to minimize polishing or grinding costs. Photographs are shown to illustrate fixturing designed to control metal distribution. Other methods used include thieves and deflectors.

چکیده
آبکاری کروم سخت نسبت به آبکاری کروم تزئینی درجه ی اول جهت کاربردهای مهندسی و صنعتی متفاوت می باشد .در این نوع آبکاری آماده سازی سطح بسیار تاکید شده است موفقیت در این فرآیند تا حد بسیار زیادی به نرخ کنترل رسوب بر روی سطوح مختلف به منظور به حداقل رساندن هزینه های پرداخت یا زحمت انجام کار بستگی دارد .تصاویر نشان داده شده مربوط به تجهیزات نصب شده جهت کنترل توزیع فلز می باشد .
